Privacy Policy
DezK Software LTD. (“PartiPlanr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the PartiPlanr web and mobile applications that help people plan parties, group trips, and team events—including invitations, RSVPs, shared itineraries, group payments, photos, and chat. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using PartiPlanr, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Information we collect
Account and identity information
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier from that provider so we can create and secure your account. If you choose to hide your email through Sign in with Apple, we store the private-relay address Apple provides and never receive your real email. We may also store a profile avatar URL if your provider supplies one.
Event and guest information
As you use PartiPlanr, we store the content you create and share to run your events, including:
- Events you host or join, along with dates, locations, and descriptions
- Guest lists, invitations, RSVP responses, and the email addresses you use to invite people
- Itineraries, flights, lodging, transport, schedules, and polls
- Shared costs, expense splits, and settlement records between participants
- Photos you upload and messages you send in event chat
Some of this information relates to other people you invite. You are responsible for having the appropriate permission to share their details with us for the purpose of organizing your event.
Payment information
Group payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay for an event, Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly. Hosts may also add UK payout bank details so we can send manual payouts; those payout details are encrypted at rest and access is restricted. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We retain limited records such as payment amounts, status, timestamps, and payout account metadata so we can show transaction history and reconcile settlements. Stripe’s handling of payer data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Technical information
Like most online services, we automatically collect limited technical data when you use PartiPlanr, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and app interactions. We use this to keep the service secure, diagnose problems, and understand how features are used.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the service—creating events, sending invitations, and syncing your data across devices
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure
- To process group payments and settlements through Stripe
- To send transactional messages, such as invitations, verification codes, and event updates
- To diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve the product
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your event content to serve third-party advertising.
How we share information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
- With other event participants. Information you add to an event—such as your name, RSVP status, messages, photos, and expense shares—is visible to the host and other guests of that event.
- With service providers. We use trusted vendors to run PartiPlanr, including Stripe (payments), our cloud hosting and database providers, object storage for photos, and email delivery. They may only process data on our behalf and under contract.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
- In a business transfer. If PartiPlanr is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records—for example, payment records for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights and choices
- You can access and update your profile information from within the app
- You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us
- You can manage Sign in with Apple access at any time in your Apple ID settings
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@partiplanr.app. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards—including encryption in transit, scoped access tokens, and restricted access to production systems—to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your data and promptly address vulnerabilities.
Children’s privacy
PartiPlanr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International users
PartiPlanr is operated from, and your data may be processed in, countries other than where you live. We take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of PartiPlanr after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
